Our Parks and Recreation Department has recently achieved Tier 1 Benchmarking. This department also keeps busy by maintaining all city buildings. We anticipate that the next several years will bring major renovations and additions to our parks and recreation facilities.

Sweetwater Parks & Recreation is proud to have recently completed Phase Two of Engleman Park, which added a splash pad, 3rd pavilion, swing set, additional parking and restrooms, in partnership with the State of TN LPRF Grant program.

This department is responsible for the parks and recreation facilities of the City, including:


 

Friendly reminder:
There are no animals allowed on the city walking track at the Recreation Complex. We invite you to utilize the public sidewalks, like the new bike trail along High Street, or Engleman Park where doggy waste bags are available to                                                                           exercise with your dogs on a leash.
